A Moment in Time (2024)
A Moment in Time was the inaugural fashion showcase presented by Midwest, a newly established creative agency founded to connect artists, designers, and creatives throughout Oklahoma and beyond. Conceived as both a launch event and a statement of intent, the production celebrated collaboration as the foundation of creative community.
Hosted in Norman, Oklahoma, the event partnered with a newly developed event venue prior to its official grand opening, transforming the space into an immersive runway and exhibition experience. To match the ambition of the concept, Midwest assembled a full production team, including professional lighting, staging, audiovisual support, event staff, and a dedicated creative crew.
The showcase featured over 40 models, five fashion designers, and five stylists, alongside more than ten local vendors and two food trucks. Designer and stylist pairings were coordinated by Lauren Boone and Sebastian Arias, creating unique collaborations that highlighted the individual strengths of each creative while maintaining a cohesive visual direction throughout the show.
As Creative Director, Lauren Boone led the overall vision of the event, while collaborating closely with Sebastian Arias and Eliana Johnson to develop and execute the logistics, scheduling, talent coordination, and production strategy required to bring the showcase to life. Together, the team managed the moving parts of a large-scale production while fostering an environment that encouraged creative experimentation and partnership.
The title, A Moment in Time, was chosen to represent the significance of the relationships being formed and the beginning of Midwest's journey as a creative agency. More than a fashion show, the event served as a gathering point for emerging artists, entrepreneurs, designers, and cultural contributors, documenting a pivotal moment in Oklahoma's growing creative landscape.
Following the runway presentation, guests were invited to an exclusive after-party within the venue, extending the energy of the evening and providing an opportunity for attendees, collaborators, and industry professionals to connect. The celebration reflected the event's core mission: creating meaningful experiences that bring creative communities together.
As the Midwest's debut production, A Moment in Time established the agency's commitment to ambitious storytelling, large-scale creative collaboration, and community-driven cultural events.
